8 Ways to Raise Your Vibrations This Season

It's that time of year again where people are frantically shopping, overspending and succumbing to the pressures of the news stations, advertisers and retailers to buy, buy, buy. Sadly, our holiday season has gotten longer (now starting in September), has turned into purchasing more "stuff" that we don't need, and has put many in a deep depression aided by an increase in both stress levels and credit card balances! What I wish for Christmas is that more people take a step back and really evaluate what they are doing and why. What part of all this hustle and bustle brings you joy? Is it being together with family? Is it rushing through stores buy more gifts that likely get returned or regifted a few weeks later. According to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, nearly 88% of adults called the holiday season the most stressful time of year. In 2022 patients made the most appointments for depression and anxiety the Monday after Thanksgiving. With suicide and mental health at an all time high and resources stretched thin many suffer in silence. Here are some ways to raise your vibration:

  • Take a walk or a drive in nature

  • Move your body, find some physical activity that makes you feel good

  • Spend time with family and friends that bring you joy (avoid those that don't)

  • Meditate or be still, calm your mind and visualize the positive things in your life and/or what you want your life to be like. Focus on what you do want instead of what you don't want (you know the law of attraction).

  • Play - be silly and have playful fun! Laugh!

  • Be creative, explore new experiences and hobbies that get's you out of your box

  • Daily, focus on those things you are thankful for and be kind to yourself (no negative self-talk)

  • Know that it's okay to seek out help, schedule a hypnosis, reiki, counseling, massage session.
